Recently, the 2025 “ICBC Cup” National University Student FinTech Innovation Competition — the 5th Macao University Student FinTech Innovation Competition — successfully concluded. The event was hosted by the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (ICBC) and organized by ICBC Macau. At the award ceremony, Huang Yu, Deputy General Manager of the FinTech Department at ICBC Headquarters, remarked that the “ICBC Cup” competition has been held annually since 2010 for 16 consecutive years. Its scale and influence have continued to grow, now covering all 34 provincial-level regions in China and attracting the attention and participation of thousands of universities and more than four million students.

The team from Macao Polytechnic University — comprising Wu Chuhui, Huang Yue, and Fong Kwan I — stood out with their project “Smart Compliance Review Assistant”, winning the Second Prize. Zhu Baoliang received the Excellence Award for his project “ICBC • Panshield — A Triple-Layer Financial Security Protection System Based on Large Language Models.”
