MPU Holds “Creative Planning Talent Development Programme” to Cultivate Diverse and Innovative Talents

MPU’s “Creative Planning Talent Development Programme” cultivates diverse and innovative talents.

To inspire innovative thinking among students, enhance their competitiveness in the creative industry, and promote holistic development, the Student Affairs Office of Macao Polytechnic University (MPU) has launched the “Creative Planning Talent Development Programme.” The programme offers a series of practical workshops for students covering areas such as event planning, graphic design, video recording, and editing. It systematically guides students from theoretical learning to practical application, transforming creative thinking into hands-on skills, and comprehensively strengthening students’ creative and practical abilities to cultivate talents that meet societal needs.

The programme has invited a local experienced creative industry professional, an event planning consultant, and an outstanding graduate to serve as mentors. The curriculum not only teaches core creative knowledge and skills, but also incorporates the latest industry trends to stimulate students’ potential. Through rich practical case studies and experience sharing, mentors provide industry-oriented professional guidance. After completing the training, students are equipped with a keen sense for video recording and editing, practical skills in event planning, and creative abilities in graphic design.

Participating students said that the programme balances theory and practice, with clear themes and rich content, enabling them to acquire professional knowledge and practical skills. Through mentor sharing, they also gained insights into the latest industry trends, grasped the core essentials of creative work, and effectively aligned with future development opportunities. Students also mentioned that the programme encourages collaboration among participants, allowing them to leverage their strengths. They look forward to upcoming internships and project practices where they can further apply their learning in real-world scenarios.
